Organic Based program
Organic Based Lawn Care– We will work with you to help make appropriate cultural changes. Focusing on increasing microbial populations, adjusting nutrient and organic levels in the soil is some of what we do. If you have a strong foundation you will have a strong healthy plant. Using integrated pest management techniques we spot treat broadleaf weeds with EPA approved control products, safely, in an environmentally responsible manner and only when and where needed.
Early Spring Application– Application adds potash and calcium this will help with nutrient uptake for a greener turf.
This is a good time to think about vegetation control program, ant, tick and mosquito control programs.
Late Spring– Mineral fertilizer application will stimulate and add green growth. A pre-emergent crabgrass control will be applied to areas that are susceptible to crabgrass.
Early Summer– Poultry based, plant based, or feed grade fertilizer application, post emergent crabgrass control for individual plant break through and spot treat broadleaf weeds. Monitor for insects. Treat as needed.
Summer– Slow release granular fertilizer with micronutrients to add color and help the lawn prepare for and get through Summer. Spot treat weeds. Monitor for insects. Any crabgrass breakthrough will be treated.
Late Summer– Poultry based, plant based, or feed grade fertilizer application, spot treat broadleaf weeds. Monitor for insects.
Early Fall– Poultry based, plant based or feed grade fertilizer application. Spot treat weeds.
Fall Lime– Lime application to maintain pH
Traditional Program
Traditional Programs– Only applying the finest materials over the growing season. We use slow release nitrogen for even controlled feedings. Using integrated pest management techniques we spot treat broad leaf weeds with EPA approved control products, safely, in an environmentally responsible manner and only when and where needed. Grub control is usually applied early in the season.
Early Spring Application– Adds potash and calcium this will help with nutrient uptake for a greener turf.
This is a good time to think about vegetation control program, ant, tick and mosquito control programs.
Late Spring– High nitrogen fertilizer application will stimulate and add green growth. A pre-emergent crabgrass control will be applied to areas that are susceptible to crabgrass.
Early Summer Application– Balanced fertilizer to promote strong growth and enhance color. Spot treat for early Summer weeds. A second application of our crabgrass treatment for break through as needed. Monitor for insects.
Summer– Slow release granular fertilizer with micronutrients to add color and help the lawn prepare for and get through Summer. Spot treat weeds. Monitor for insects. Any crabgrass breakthrough will be treated.
Late Summer– Slow release fertilizer with micronutrients is applied to turf to strengthen it after the Summer. Broad leaf weeds and crabgrass are spot treated as needed. Monitor for insects.
Early Fall– Balanced fertilizer to stimulate strong root growth to help turf recover from summer and help prepare it for next spring green up. Spot treat any late season broad leaf weeds. Make recommendations.
